Quotable:
“Bandimere Speedway is always one of my favorite tracks to go to because of the challenges that come with racing at a mile-high. The oxygen levels are thin, and it’s a big feat for the crew chiefs to get the cars to make good power. It’s also a big challenge for the drivers to be able to stay focused because when you go up there, you push your endurance to higher levels. Racing at a mile-high is definitely a challenge, but it’s one that I know myself and our Matco Tools Toyota team looks forward to each year. We’ve won there before, and it’s kind of like you’re the ‘king of the mountain’ if it doesn’t beat you up. When you get the job done, it makes it that much more rewarding to hoist a Wally on top of the mountain.”
