FROM ANTRON BROWN:
Driver of the Matco Tools Eagle Experience Top Fuel Dragster
“We definitely made some strides in the right direction [in Epping], so we’re looking forward to getting to Bristol. Bristol’s got a brand new track surface, all concrete, so I’m just hoping for some really good weather out there and that we can continue on this path and this journey.
“Our main goal is definitely qualify in the top half of the field at this race and try to bring a Wally home, but we’re going to take it one round at a time. What’s really unique about Bristol is that we have a couple of runs at nighttime, literally Friday night, and then on Saturday, we run one run in the afternoon and one run right before the evening. Then we race during the day on Sunday, so it makes that track really, really tricky because you can run some really good sessions, but then you’re going to run in the middle of the day for race day, so you really have to have all your stuff together because you’re going to go through three different zones of temperature, track conditions, and it makes it really tricky. The crew chiefs and the team really have their hands full, but we’re always up for that challenge. We got close to [winning] several times before with this race, and we’re looking to get back to where we need to be.”
