“When we go out to Joliet, it’s always a special race because it’s the hometown race for Don Schumacher, who’s from Mount Prospect. Everybody at DSR really gets up to win at Route 66 – and that’s what I intend to do. We’ll also have a lot of Matco distributors, Toyota guests and a lot of Army soldiers that come out and we want to give back and put them into the winner’s circle.

“It’s going to be crazy fast running at the beginning of June compared to mid-July. Track conditions should be in the 60s when we’re running at night and you can go out there and run hard. It’s another really good track and it’s going to be a lot of fun for the fans.”
